Nicole Avery* -
(Hermia) has been acting since
the age of nine. She attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in
Hollywood and is currently living and pursuing her acting career in Los
Angeles. A member of the Screen Actors Guild and Actor’s Equity, she was
recently featured on the television shows Scrubs and Not So Raven.
Nicole would like to thank her family for their support, Sean for
casting her, and Dave for just about everything.
Shaun Carroll* -
(Lysander) has most recently worked
with the Foothill Theatre Company, performing as Ralph in A Christmas Story,
Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, and Pip in Great Expectations. He has also
worked around the Bay Area with Theatreworks, the San Francisco Shakespeare
Festival, the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, Pacific Rep, and the Delta King
Theatre. For five seasons, he worked as an actor, teacher, dancer, and stagehand
at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland. For the last two years, he has
been the Props Designer for the Willows Theatre Company in Concord.
Carly Palmer -
(Helena) has been involved in theatre
since her freshman year of high school. She has immersed herself in all aspects
of the art; testing the waters of directing, lighting, sound, backstage tech
and, of course, the stage itself. While not intending to major in Drama, she
will be attending Southern Oregon University in the fall, and where she wishes
to pursue a minor in the performing arts.
Nick Jackson -
(Demetrius) has been acting since the
age of eight and A Midsummer Night’s Dream marks his 21st production. His first
was Peter Pan at Holy Rosary church. He performed in Frank Ballestero’s
production of Dracula in which he played the vampire hunter, Van Helsing, and
Sean O’Neil’s productions of The Importance of Being Ernest and Crimes of the
Heart, for which he earned two awards for his performance. Jackson is ecstatic
to be a part of such an amazing ensemble.
Heddy Lahmann -
(Philostrate/Puck) is currently an
M.F.A in Acting at the University of Connecticut and received her B.A. in
Theatre from San Diego State University. A graduate of Antioch High School and
former student of Sean’s, she is tickled to be a part of the Antioch Classical
Theatre Company’s first production. Heddy has enjoyed playing such roles as Beth
in A Lie of the Mind, Gremio in Taming of the Shrew, Helena and Hermia in
productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Hannah in Angel’s In America, Victoria
in The Waiting Room, Gertrude in Hamlet, Thaisa and Bawd in Pericles, and most
recently Phoebe in Connecticut Repertory Theatre’s production of As You Like It.
She would like to thank Sean, Mom, Dad and Emma.
Nick Wong -
(Oberon) is a California native and
Antioch High School graduate, where he had the great pleasure of playing C.K.
Dexter Haven in the theatre department’s production of The Philedelphia Story.
Though he does not have aspirations of continuing a theatrical career in the
future, he is delighted to be a part of the cast of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Kelley Bright Leidenthal -
(Titania/Costume Designer)
is a recent graduate from Antioch high School and is honored to be a part of
this wonderful production. She was recently seen in Antioch High School’s
production of The Philedelphia Story (Tracy Lord), and Crimes of the Heart
(Lenny Magrath). In the fall she will be attending the University of California
at Irvine, hoping to double major in Drama and Studio Arts. Kelley also enjoys
writing, reading, and playing tennis.
Robert J. Young -
(Nick Bottom/Pyramus) has been
acting for six years and has enjoyed portraying such roles as Algernon Moncrieff
in Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Ernest. He hopes to pursue acting
throughout his life and eventually attend the San Diego Art Institute. He would
like to thank his close personal friends for all of their continued support.
William deLuna -
(Peter Quince) has been in theatre
since his freshman year of high school. Since then has performed in several
plays and also participated in Improv Teams (both in high school and at LMC). He
hopes to continue his acting career as long as directors are foolish enough to
cast him. William is currently taking a few classes at LMC and works for the
Geek Squad.
Donald Lang -
(Tom Snout/Wall) has been singing since
before he could talk. His involvement with music began in elementary school with
choir and band. In high school, he was involved in such shows as Brigadoon,
Carousel, Into the Woods, Aladdin, and One-Acts. He would like to give praise,
honor, and glory to God and his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for all his
blessings, his mom and stepfather for their love and support, his sisters for
cheering him on, and his dad, Donald Lang for watching over all the days of his
life. May he rest in peace.
Randy Prado -
(Francis Flute/Thisbe) is pleased to be
making his first performance outside of high school and in a professional
company. In addition to his acting, Randy enjoys being a part of the Swim and
Water Polo teams at Antioch High School. He is also a lover of Jamba Juice and
Starbucks.
Sara Panus -
(Hippolyta) has been acting and singing
since she was five and has been with In the Light Voice Studio in Antioch for 10
years. Most recently, she performed at Los Medanos College as Helena in A
Midsummer Night’s Dream, Viola, in Twelfth Night, and the Defenseless Creature
in The Good Doctor. She was also recently involved with Diablo Light Opera
Company’s production of My Fair Lady as well as several Antioch Rivertown
Theatre productions. She is currently working on a double major, in Liberal
Studies and History at Cal State East Bay and plans to teach elementary school.
Cyle Swanstrom -
(Theseus) has performed in over
fifteen productionss with various theatre companies throughout the Bay Area,
this is his first appearance in a Shakespeare play. Cyle is currently attending
Los Medanos College.
Victoria Lynn Zachery -
(Mustardseed) has appeared as
Meg Magrath in Antioch High School’s theatre productions of Crimes of the Heart
and Margaret Lord in The Philedelphia Story. She has also enjoyed lending her
voice as Juliet in Shakespearecast.com’s Romeo and Juliet. An officer for
Thespian Troupe 2041, she hopes to continue sharing her love for theatre
throughout her coming senior year. Victoria feels privileged to be in the
Antioch Classical Theatre Company’s first production and blessed to be a part of
such a wonderful cast.
Ginger Ann Hale -
(Peaseblossom) is a proud member of
Antioch High School’s Improv Team and has been appointed as the Public Relations
representative for Thespian Troupe 2041. Ginger has been acting since she was
nine years old and has thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it.
Michelle Lopez -
(Moth) will be entering her senior
year at Antioch High School. Her passion for theatre began in the 7th grade when
she played a witch in Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Since then she has been in such
plays as Puss in Boots and Crimes of the Heart.
Jessica Grindheim -
(Prop Master) is a senior at
Antioch High School where she enjoys participating in swimming, water polo, and
the theatre department. Most recently, she has worked on Crimes of the Heart and
Philedelphia Story.
David Nadeau -
(Composer) is delighted to make his
composing debut for A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He has been writing music for the
past few years and would like to thank Sean for giving him this opportunity. He
wants to wish the cast the best of luck, especially "Hermia."
Gary White -
(Stage Manager) is excited be involved in
his first play. He enjoys working as a stage manager because he likes being the
guy people count on. Gary also enjoys playing guitar and drums.
